to fill the data from step 1. directly leads me to the error.

no, my host does not add anything on the web

Yes, you have to create a database before installing Jcow.
We will upgrade the installation in version 2.5 to create database automatically.

No, you just need to run the installation again, and the data will be imported to that database.

I read that I have to give a number of licensure or something. is that true?

I'm trying gratiuito host, will be the problem?

you don't need to give a number. a secure key will be automatically generated during the installation.

dear verde

come down... start from the beginning ...
if you did try to upload the database manually do this:

  1. delete every table in the database related to jcow(if you are not using it for some other software.. which I recommend) let it clean nothing on it....
    Else
  2. Create a new database from your cpanel and create a new user to use that database
    do the following:

  3. upload your files in the directory you desire
  4. run the install.php and gave it the name of database you created and the password... fill the other informations press next
  5. you are done! delete the install.php using your ftp software
  6. create your admin account by sign up the first user

enjoy!!!

Paul: never do that that means your user should give your software the root username and password to be able to create the mysql database... let the user create the database and just create the table!!!!
