I want to set email verification when someone registers. An confirmation mail should be sent to his email and he has to click on a confirmation link. How to do this?

When i send an invite or verification email as test, In my hotmail or other email, I dont have anything.
I have the hostpapa.com default settings.
I made a php file using Mail() function and it works fine.
what i need to try or check?
can you please send me a function with the requiered value, for ask by support in hostpapa.com?
