the site is taking too long to open up, and when it does open up, all the images and icons appear as broken images.

when i click on the broken image link, it takes a while long to open then open with a strange image link as

(The requested URL /home/mysite/public_html/www.mysite.com was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.)

that is the message i get, while the correct link of the icon image is meant to be (http://www.mysite.com/modules/blogs/icon.png)

I cant seem to figure out how to fix this out, someone help me out. What do i need to correct this linking problem?
