Trying to do this too. I'm looking at the modules/photos/photos.php as well as the includes/libs/pages.inc.php files to try and figure out how photos are being handled. May have to look at the forum code too as one is able to post a photo and comment there without an album.
I want to be able to post a photo in the feed as if it were a "What's Happening' comment; no album and in the right spot in the timeline.
If anyone has been through this already, a hint would be nice!
