Im not sure if this has already been done, but I think a quick signup on the index that shows to unregistered users would be great.

A simple box to enter name, username, email and password for example then allow them to add additional profile information once registered.

I think this quick signup would increase the number of new users, rather than having to look for the signup link/image.

Allowing it in page.tpl would work even better, but only if shown to unregistered users :)

Yea thats true but I can second that by saying most of us like the blue theme more but we prefer the index of facebook theme. I would be glad if i was shown how to make the blue theme index page into facebook theme
