When I installed the blue theme most of the theme's CSS is not showing.

You get sections everywhere as if they haven't had a style assigned to them. The chat bar is there yes, but the site looked a messed. I'm picking apart each section and comparing it with the default CSS to see which bits are different and will try and figure out what is stopping the chatbar from being seen in the default theme.

I'll post any resolutions.

downloading the Facebook v2 theme works fine. But I don't want my site to look like Facebook and modding the files doesn't seem to do anything.
After reading through the code, it's safe to say that the files affecting the chatbar on the default theme are...

page.css
page.tpl.php

I'm going to read through them and find what is allowing the chatbar to be view on the facebook theme and replacing that bit of code in the default theme.

There is one thing:
After you upgraded to Jcow5, you need to refresh your browser, so that the new CSS can be loaded.

Fixed home tab error. Basically install any theme except for the default and add in a home link yourself. This will also fix the chatbar issue. (Even though there are many problems with the jcow chatbar..I'll come to that)

You'll need to do this in:

page.tpl.php

Find where your inbox link is written in the code and add in a Home link yourself on the same line.

Very disappointed with the level of bugs in Jcow.

Timezone fix is in the config.php file. Set your timezone in there. Default is set to -8. Change that number to whatever your timezone is. GMT is 0.

Ok, so....The Jcow Chatbar. Where do I start?

Problems:

"Undefined" This will appear every now and again instead of the username.

Sometimes the user cannot see what the other user has typed.

The entire conversation you have with someone will disappear if you refresh or change the page you are on.

Sound alert does not work.

To be honest, you're better off without the Chatbar at the moment.
Jcow team, please update and fix your chatbar. It's appalling.

I'm still working on fixing the 'Wrong URI' error with the pages and the birthday bug where everyone is 1year older.

I find it somewhat disappointing that I, a Jcow customer, has had to fix ALL of the bugs myself with out any support from the Jcow support team. I've sent emails to them, only to receive no help back. Just very delayed replies asking for a FTP testing account login. Then, getting no results from this. I didn't pay £176 for nothing you know. Please don't let me think I've wasted my money.
