I've just upgraded to Jcow 5 Pro and there are alot of bugs.

1.The status button doesn't seem to become available when you start typing, therefore posts are impossible.

2.Chat bar has gone (Yes it's enabled in the modules)

3.Pages links go to "Wrong URI" error.

4.Add or Remove Widgets doesn't do anything.

5.Drag and drop feature doesn't work.

6.Time zone is stuck on Canada

If anyone can fix ANY of these I would very much appreciate it. It's kind of annoying when I paid £176 for this and it doesn't work properly.

Thank you!

I am encountering all the same problems and more even after receiving tech support. Maybe 5.0 was released too soon?

I hope fixes will come in the next couple of days before I lose more members and customers.

I have fixed the status posting issue, here's what I did.

Open the Jcow Pro5 folder you downloaded.
Go to files/common_css/
Find these two images,

"sharebox_arrow.png"
"sharebox_arrow.bg.gif"

Upload them to your site server in the 'files/common_css' folder.

You should now be able to post statuses.

I'm working on the other issues myself too as the support team are taking way to long to get back to me.

(THIS ALSO FIXED THE DRAG AND DROP ISSUE)

Timezone is an easy one. goto your config.php and set your timezone.

I tried that. It doesn't seem to do anything.
I want GMT(London) which is 0. I put that in instead of
the -8 that was there and it's still the same.

I even did +10 to see if it actually changed and nothing happened.

Any thoughts?

So I managed to fix a couple of things but I've spotted more.

1.No chat bar still

2.Pages link goes to "Wrong URI" error.

I can see the error for this one but can't find where to fix it. The only time I get this error is when clicking the avatar of the page on my profile. I can see the link for it is ".../index.php?p=group/...." when it should be ".../index.php?p=page/...."

3.Birthdays are incorrect. They're showing +1 year older.

4.Timezone still incorrect even after changing it.

5.Home tab has disappeared.

Very frustrating issues here. Would appreciate any help.
Thanks

To fix Chatbar. Try this. Unstall Blue theme for v5 Delete all the others do the same with Chatbar. Go to PhpMyAdmin and rebuild your databases. Reinstall Chatbar and turn it on and update Mods. And it should work with Blue Theme for V5. Make sure in your browser U turn off all cache and clean out your cookies. And I wish u luck. I got my Chatbar to work but not 100% how. these are a few steps i did.

Turn off Browser cache and Delete cookies. Then log back in and see what happens.
