Learn how to create and add a toolbar for your social network here. - http://www.philreesenterprises.com/jcowtoolbar

Keeping traffic and members coming back to your jcow social network is tough - especially when competing against things like mypace, facebook, twitter and the dozens of social networks that seem to be cropping up out there.

As a fellow Jcow publisher (www.dealtowntoolbar.com/dealsocial) and an expert publisher with www.conduit.com I would like to show you a way to keep your social network members connected with your site 24 hours a day.

Best of all the system is free of charge and actually pays you every time someone installs the toolbar and has a number of features which you can use to monetize your website and membership database.

The toolbars work with Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari and you are able to create app’s that will work with Google Chrome and other browsers.

www.conduit.com for those of you who do not know they are the worlds leading provider of browser toolbar systems with over 211 MILLION users and 250,000 publishers world wide.

To see an example of a toolbar in action go to http://www.dealtowntoolbar.com/dealsocial and you will see a green banner across the bottom of the page - click that to install the toolbar (you may need to restart your browser after). Don’t worry you can easily un install it after once you have viewed it.

Im currently working on how to install an API on the toolbar to allow the following

Login to your social network direct from the toolbar
RSS Feeds of the news feeds direct to the toolbar
Updates from your site - events, photos etc direct to your toolbar
Notification of personal messages, friend requests and so on direct to the toolbar for users logged in

Cool, you know it works then ;)

Guide for those who want some help getting started and ill develop it more as i go along.

Some advice though olee - why no links on your toolbar to content on your network - for example a menu button linking to the News Feed, Blogs, Photos etc?

Missing a trick there my friend :)
